Difference is S collaborative writing project where everyone can participate. So the lore and story telling is all over the place. Project Moon is written by one man and maybe a few assistance, you actually have more of a linear proper story telling.

Ohhh I'm not, basically just saying that yeah, it is initially inspired and based on S, first game was literally an S management game where you have a facility and you manage S like entities from escaping. Limbus Company is set more outside of the S facility and is more revolved around the world. Talking outside of gameplay. storywise if you're asking what's the setting basically a dystopian apocalypse where big corporations control the populace. It's not as grimdark as warhammer because the games is all about seeking hope in a miserable and hopeless world. You hear

The entire human populace is all based on one huge mega city
Each megacorpo is based on the Letters in each district, they also are divided in the slums and the rich folk. Capitalism is Evil basically. Outside the city is basically an entire wasteland full of ancient horror, monsters, and ruins. Only humanity resides in the city as the head is racist towards those who aren't. Head governs all and they're pretty powerful. There's also a lot of factions, from mercenary corpos to syndicates. And also the light that turns people into monsters like chainsaw man style. Pretty much the entire synopsis for the setting. Narratively it's pretty good. But that's for you to see for yourself honestly. People def overglaze limbus but there's a reasonable reason why. I've been a fan before limbus tho and the setting and characters is what got me hooked

There's an entire corporation based on agriculture and literally hunting huge bears, tigers, and buffalo for meat.
Funny it looks like old korea where they still have lords and samurai even tho it's modernised and technological. The entire human populace is literally the same us ours and they're all in the same city. City is pretty huge, districts are basically countries they have their own borders

Also yeah you're pretty much on point. The Head has all these corpos under them just so they can have control over the technology they patent. Which makes the head governance strong. But honestly it's for their own good, outside the walls is much scarier

It's a south korean game so no surprise. Tho not everything is entirely korean aesthetic, population isn't entirely asian. Think of it as the entire earth woth different cultures but now they're all in one big continent like Pangaea. There's a district Where's it's literally london and there's no color in it anf they revolve around time they use time as currency
Each district has its own unique theme and culture, so to make each corporation distinct and unique. There's also China themed district where the entire district is just kowloon walled city
