Yes the mc is a trans man. In the first comic it shows him naked with female biology but he goes by he/him pronouns as referenced when he reunited with Cupid. Also Hank said he "wasn't a f*ggot" when Comet offered to fuck him which obviously wouldn't make sense if Comet wasn't a man.
