if dark energy continues to weaken, the most likely death for the universe is in fact, a best case scenario! the big crunch, although incredibly violent, could possibly result in another big bang! and if it has the chance to happen, this conversation could happen again! an inconceivable amount of time in the future. I think we should reach for the stars, but only once we've fixed what's broken here. Not because the stars are owed to us, but because we'd only carry our wounds with us. A society that hasn't healed its own pain doesn't leave that pain behind when it travels. It plants it somewhere new.
And there's something else. The beauty of the stars is partly that they're untouched. The moment we arrive, that changes. Not because we'd ruin them, but because we'd end the distance that made them what they were to us. We'd trade a mystery for a map.
So I'd say this.
We should go there, eventually. But go as people who've earned the quiet, not as people running from a noise we never learned to silence. The stars will still be there. The question is whether we'll be ready to meet them without bringing ourselves along in the worst way.

It depends on which truth you mean. Some things are facts, and no opinion changes them. Some things are taste, and they aren't true or false at all. Then there's the hard middle, where questions like justice and beauty live. These depend on premises people disagree about at the root.
So when someone says truth is relative, they're usually pointing at that middle, and they're half right. The answers aren't fixed, but the question still has a right answer within a given framework.
What's relative isn't truth. It's the premises people start from. Truth isn't relative. Access to it is.

My two cents is that the characters are depicted in a way that is their reality, and I feel like the "drawing are incapable of relationships" bit is missing the point. While you are not precisely jacking to people, the idea and image of the people includes any relationships depicted. That is part of the idea and identity of the character. So, yes there is such a thing as cartoon incest porn. There is a lot of it here.

Righteousness becomes less important than general happiness the second it starts following a rule that makes life worse for everyone. Being morally right only matters because its supposed to help others, but if being righteous means harming others or causing unnecessary issues, then the point is lost. At that point, just making sure people are happy and safe matters much more than keeping your moral record clean.

This topic is interesting.
The answer that sat best with me draws on the classic Kant and Constant debate on lying to the murderer at the door.
It explains that, there's no fixed point, because the question assumes they're separate things that trade off. Often they aren't. Real righteousness tends to produce happiness over time. When they seem to conflict, usually the "general happiness" being weighed is short-term, partial, or measured badly. Someone's utility always gets left out of the sum.
That said, genuine edge cases exist. Lie to the murderer at the door about where his victim is hiding. Most people say the lie is justified. But notice: righteousness wasn't abandoned. It was outweighed by a deeper righteousness, the duty to protect the innocent. The rule bent so the principle could stand.
So the real question isn't "when does righteousness lose to utility." It's "when does a rule lose to the reason the rule exists." And the danger is that everyone thinks they can see that clearly. "For the greater good" is the oldest sentence in the book.

One argument I have heard against Christianity, and monotheism in general, is that god cannot be all good, all knowing, and all powerful. Not all at once. The argument is that such a god wouldn't allow evil in this world. What are your thoughts/arguements?

I don’t think God necessarily allows evil to exist, I think it’s just inevitable. It’s like light. The darkness isn’t a thing itself, it’s just the absence of light. Evil is where Good just hasn’t penetrated. You can’t have good without evil. Forcing everyone to be good would invalidate free will.
